HackTX is an annual 24-hour hackathon at The University of Texas at Austin where students can make their ideas real. It's about learning new skills and coming up with creative solutions using technology. To help along the way, we provide mentorship and workshops. Beginners are welcome! Charles Schwab challenges you to blaze the trail in moving beyond the password in authentication.
PRIZE: $200 in Uber Credits per team member. Create an application or website that allows users to access their personalized content via password-less authentication. Once authenticated, all the app needs to display to the authenticated user is their name and account balance. Anything extra is just gravy.

Citi Sponsored Challenge

Create an idea that utilizes voice technologies to make day-to-day finance easier for Citibank customers.

The only requirements here are that your idea:
- Utilizes voice technologies like Amazon Alexa, Google Home, or Apple’s Siri.
- Uses at least one API from the Citi Developer Portal
- Positively impacts customer experience

In addition, Citi has a keen focus on the Financial Wellness of our customers. Though it is not required, we recommend looking into how your idea could possibly help people manage their money in more responsible ways.

Think about how open source datasets can be used to help combat hunger in Texas. How can you leverage data to incentivize citizens, universities, businesses, or government to reduce, redistribute, or repurpose food waste?
